Jennifer Whitfield Director
Jennifer Whitfield is the Program Manager for aggieTEACH and is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. She a received a B.A. in mathematics from The Colorado College in 1993, a M.S. in mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2000, and is currently working toward her doctorate in mathematics education. Whitfield is a lifetime certified Texas secondary mathematics teacher and former high school mathematics instructor within both the Bryan (1995-1999) and College Station (1999-2001) Independent School Districts. She came to A&M in 2001 and has taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses, has led numerous mathematics professional development workshops for in-service teachers, and has succeeded in attracting substantial funding support for aggieTEACH. Jennifer has received several awards, including induction into the 2013-2014 Texas A&M University System Chancellor's Academy of Teacher Educators, the Texas A&M College of Education and Human Development's John E. Trott Jr. Award in Student Recruiting (2012), the Texas A&M System's Student Led Award for Teaching Excellence (2009) and both the Texas A&M Department of Mathematics' Outstanding Service (2009) and Outstanding Teaching (2005) Awards. In addition, she was honored in 2013 by the Texas A&M student body as a Fish Camp Namesake.
