LEARN.   TEACH.   IMPACT.

The aggieTEACH program is the undergraduate, secondary (grades 8-12) mathematics and science teacher preparation program at Texas A&M University. aggieTEACH advisers work with students who are majoring in mathematics and science related degrees (e.g., biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, meteorology, geology, wild life and fisheries, etc.) to ensure they are taking the correct courses to receive both their bachelor's degree and their Texas mathematics or science teaching certification in the four years of their undergraduate education. Utilizing a field-based, hands-on, and mentored approach to teacher education, students in the aggieTEACH program gain experience in mathematics and science classrooms with some of the area's best teachers. In its collaboration with the College of Education and Human Development, aggieTEACH has helped position Texas A&M University as the state leader in university-trained mathematics and science teachers produced for the last six years, according to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification.

If you are an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University, majoring in mathematics or a science related degree, and are interested in teaching mathematics or science in grades 8-12, then aggieTEACH is for you!
