A Secondary Education Minor with Educator Preparation for Non-Education Majors

The aggieTEACH SEED Minor provides teacher preparation and certification for degree seeking students enrolled at Texas A&M University.
The SEED Minor requires 18 credit hours of an educator preparation sequence plus one semester of clinical “student” teaching while concurrently completing the coursework in your major.

Target Audience: TAMU undergraduate non-education majors

Admission Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a TAMU undergraduate
- Minimum of 3 semesters remaining
- 12-15 certification credit hours
- 2.75 overall GPA in undergraduate coursework
- 2.5 minimum GPA in major-area content hours

Step 1: Meet with your major Advisor to ensure the degree plan can accommodate the SEED Minor.
Step 2: Email aggieteach@tamu.edu to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment.
Step 3: Submit the aggieTEACH application.
